    Key features

    SRS Rope Management

Rope management is separated from gear by a physical fabric divider with a side for gear and a side for rope.

Hung from lid loop or grab loop pack serves as a rope bucket for fast, reliable rope management.

    Comfort

Contoured back panel fits to the shape of your back.

Removable padded waistbelt distributes load to hips for comfortable approaches.

Most accurate blend of carry comfort and durability.

No sharp ends or hard edges to suffer under sandstone’s abrasion.

    Hydration

Water bottle holster (sold separately) provides hydration for hike in. Easy and quick to remove to make bag canyon-streamline.

Internal zippered hydration reservoir pocket. Hanger loop keeps reservoir in place. If tube becomes vulnerable or pack needs to be thrown, tube retracts quickly and predictably into zippered hydration pocket. Lockout bite valves highly recommended.

    Canyon-ability

Pack construction and materials are blended for maximum durability. Wear area seams protected with webbing armor.

Shoulder harness webbing bartacked into over-built inverted Pi construction.

Lid and opening edges finished with load bearing seam binding. Rope deploys smoothly in rappels and bag can be pulled thru narrows by lid.

Bottom has grommeted water drain eyelets. Water moves through bag quickly, keeping weight to a minimum.

Quickly strips down to canyon-streamline. Removable padded waistbelt, webbing waistbelt, sternum strap, and wetsuit bag.

    Lid closes with carabiner.

Suspended by lid or grab loops pack deploys in bucket mode for easy rope or gear access.

One exterior lid pockets for water, hats or gloves.

One interior pockets for maps, headlamps, or nutrition.

Front loops fit removable wetsuit bag. Upper loops made for hauling with grab loop.

    Capacity

Ideal for one rope canyons, single day outings. Room for the regular line-up of daily equipment.

Wetsuit bag (removable) puts this bulky item on the exterior until it is required. Once the neoprene is on, bag is removed and stowed in gear side compartments. Keeping bag as small and nimble as possible in canyon.

Removable padded waistbelt can carry 2 water bottle holsters, insuring hydration momentum is on track when the canyoning begins.

    The daily driver.

The Rapide 38L is the most versatile pack in our line and our personal favorite as a daily driver. With some new updates for 2023, this is the everybody pack for every day in the desert. From long canyoneering routes tocasual rock climbing days at the local sport crag, and big hiking missions through the La Sal's, this backpack can truly do it all exceptionally well. The Rapide 38L has plenty of interior room for rope and gear with a divider to keep the two separate and organized. We found the optimal blend of carry comfort and durability resulting in a bomber pack that makes approaches feel like a breeze.

    SRS - Single Rope System.

Innovation that changes the way we move through canyons.

    How to pack.

The SRS divider system allows you to separate your rope from gear with a physical divider inside the pack. We recommend first flaking your rope into the rope side, attaching the bottom of your rope to the black rope loop and the top to the red loop. Then put all your gear except harness and helmet into the gear side to isolate it from the flaked rope. Helmet and harness fit nicely on top once all packed since they are the first items to be used.

    Setup.

For any rappel from 15ft to over 200ft, if your anchor station allows, you can start by attaching the pack to the anchor by either the lid loop or grab loop for an easy work station. Then flake out ONLY the amount of rope needed from inside of the pack, toss the rope, and put in your preferred rope block technique. The rest of your rope stays neatly packed inside the bag. Everyone in the group descends but the last person, who will be descending with the pack containing the rope.

    Pull and go.

The last person in the group descends with the pack on their back while the flaked rope pays out smoothly and predictably from the rope side of the bag. Once safely on the ground, the rope is pulled and flaked back into the rope side of the bag and tied off on the red rope loop. This eliminates the need to uncoil and recoil rope between rappels, improving speed, efficiency, and safety.
